We're Here

I got in trouble for taking this photo. ?? This is the entrance to the airport in Cabo San Lucas. For a lady who knows only a few words and phrases in Spanish, this vacation could prove to be challenging. There is comfort in knowing that most Spanish citizens living in and near our resort know some English. And then there's Bryant, who, if we stick near him, can negotiate anything in Spanish.
Lauren and Valerie are in the shuttle which is taking us to San Jose del Cabo. Taking in the roadside scenery and making sure our cameras work, we are very excited. Negotiating the price for the shuttle took a very long time. Dollars to pesos? How much for a shuttle versus a taxi or a bus? How to get all nine of us to the resort at once? Did we make a good deal or were we taken? We are learning.
The first night's view from my room. Lauren is my room mate this time. Emily and Amy are sharing another condo. They have a grander view because they are up on the fifth floor, but I'm not complaining.
At night, looking toward the restaurant, Mama Mia's. We hope to have a meal or two there. They also have free wireless access.

This morning. The view from my room. What more could anyone ask for? The weather is a little humid, but very comfortable. Alabama was much hotter and had a higher percentage of humidity.

Inside, looking toward the kitchen from the glass door.
This view is from the kitchen toward our view of the pool and the ocean. Today several of us will participate in the Outdoor Adventure. It's a multi-activity, five hour excursion. We will rock climb, zip line, walk over a rope bridge and a plank bridge. What's a unimog? That's what we're going to be onboard as we take a journey into the Canon de la Zorra. We'll keep you posted.
